Foundation Crack Repair

Most bulkhead leaks are a result of movement of the bulkhead unit. Bulkheads are typically separate units that are bolted to the foundation wall. When the installation occurs during the building process a black rubber seal is put between the foundation wall and the bulkhead unit, designed to stop water. Due to the design of bulkheads and the lack of weight holding them in place, movement occurs during the winter months and compromises the seal. In order for Sealtite Basements to inject between the bulkhead and foundation (cold joints) that black rubber seal needs to be removed. The two part urethane foam needs to adhere to the concrete in order to be most effective. Because bulkheads are susceptible to movement the warranty extended is for a year. If over the one year time the bulkhead does leak, it only needs a spot injection of urethane to seal it and complete your basement bulkhead repair.
